Mycofix: Protecting animal health from mycotoxins
Mycotoxins are microorganisms that cause numerous difficulties for animal husbandry, even leading to death and loss for breeders. These are normally found in food and are inadvertently consumed by animals.
Against this background, Biomin has maintained constant research to counteract mycotoxins, creating the Mycofix product line. These biotechnological solutions are additives responsible for deactivating the mycotoxins present in food, and are indicated for use in poultry, pigs, ruminants, fish and shrimp.
Mycofix works based on a triple control strategy for mycotoxins, starting with biotransformation, adsorption and finally bioprotection. It should be noted that the mycotoxin deactivation components have the authorization of the European Union, due to Biomin’s long history in research on the subject.
