THE IMPORTANCE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE IN THE FACE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The importance of veterinary medicine in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic

For a few days, a large number of countries have been declaring themselves in a state of emergency, thus restricting non-essential activities for society and limiting transit to exits for food, medicine or medical care, in order to reduce the spread of the virus. COVID-19.

Faced with this reality, the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the World Veterinary Association (WVA) made a global petition to consider veterinary medicine as a practice of primary importance for the population.

In this statement they emphasized that veterinarians worldwide must be allowed to fulfill the functions that allow them to maintain a regional and national inspection of healthy animals, and only these can enter the market, maintain animal vaccination campaigns and continue carrying out research work. These measures were provided, always emphasizing that each professional must maintain the necessary care to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

At Invetsa we are committed to overcoming this reality, providing care and advice to all our strategic partners despite the difficulties that arise.
